Farr House
Preserving History, Enhancing Lifestyle
Located on a prominent corner in Narrogin, Farr House is a thoughtful transformation of an early 20th-century heritage residence. Designed for an active retired couple, the project balances strict character preservation with contemporary regional living.
The original rendered brick home required a complete structural and spatial overhaul. The front facade was meticulously restored to protect the historic streetscape, while the rear interior was opened up through a series of double-brick extensions.
Key Features
- Light-Filled Living: A northern kitchen extension features a seamless gas-strut window and sealed cork floors.
- Southern Sanctuary: The main bedroom suite boasts expansive, floor-to-ceiling commercial double glazing – Future construction.
- Material Contrast: Restored original rooms with deep bamboo flooring sit alongside modern, aging-in-place wet areas.
Thank you to the Farr family for trusting us to shape their home and bring the project to fruition.
