Brookton Pump Track

A project initiated by local indigenous youth for the benefit of all community youth, constructed by the Works Staff in 2020 at the Shire of Brookton on centrally located land in accordance with the Shire of Brooktons’ Recreation Reserve Master Plan demonstrated the agency and drive of youth group leaders and the agility of the Shire of Brookton to action community-led projects through their Innovations Pathway and Strategic Community Plan 2027. ORA conducted a design workshop attended by Youth Group members and prepared a proposal for the community to consider and ratify. Construction was undertaken during the Covid-19 lockdown and will be a lasting reminder of the community-building endeavours undertaken at that time.
